Hey all!

I wanted to address the long GM post updates, and clarify they are mainly for the information-specific portions of the game. Mainly for when it's important to get that info for clarification. Hopefully there's a good mix of prose and response, as I want each of you to feel care is given to your posts, with reply focus from myself.

Once on the mission, I expect GM updates will be a lot less grandiose and long, at any rate - or maybe not, it's hard to say. Basically, my goal is to provide detail and description and immersion, insofar as I can with text, and to provide you with more than simple sentence updates.

So, hopefully that's okay, though I figure now is a good time to also check in and see how we're feeling about the game so far?

I have to admit that last update was slightly terrifying. Lots of different NPCs giving different info and though Siobhan might be a a doctor her player isn't all that techy. Still it was also immersive and informative!

As far as I'm concerned the only downside to long and detailed GM posts is the amount of time and effort that goes into them so as long as you're not burning yourself out writing great posts for us then the more detail the better. Especially in an espionage game where information is crucial! Also I definitely feel like each player's post is referenced and responded to directly so all good there.

Loving the game so far. In fact I don't think I'll be able to look at a Q branch scene in a Bond movie the same again. Instead of a bunch of nameless researchers comically testing bizarre gadgets in the background I'll be thinking about Andy and Johns and Susan all being quirky inventors dedicated to their work.

The buildup to the mission is also making it that much more of a big deal rather than the team just starting straight off arriving in Monaco with 'try not to die' as our main instructions.

Great work fearless leader, keep it up!

I appreciate the kind words, and I am definitely loving delving into the GM posts. Absolutely 0% burn out from my end, and I'm glad the details are being noticed... I will say that I will absolutely utilize details, and the opportunity to benefit from them will be high (I like to reward observation and involvement, especially in an espionage setting)!

Really glad the response is positive; and don't fear, my preference on complexity is in the RP itself, not the mechanics (so much) - so if we need to house rule some elements, which are cumbersome or unnecessarily slow/time consuming, we can discuss and implement that as a group.

First and foremost comes enjoyment in the hobby!
