Interested for sure. I will update my post accordingly asap. I have an idea for a shapechanger bloodline sorcerer.

Good to see you again Dracon!

Application

Name: Darshee Wynren

Race: Elven

Gender: Female

Class: Sorcerer (Phoenix Sorcerer Bloodline)

Mechanical Role/Purpose: Arcane support w/some martial assistance

Description: Darshee is not the most comfortable in social situations. She likes to lurk along the fringes of society. When the woman travels she carries a longbow and longsword but wears no visible armor. She is tall and thin with platinum hair and beautiful cerulean eyes.

Backstory: It was about ten years ago when Darshee first came to Bridgetown for the festival. She liked the place so much that she stayed for a time. After the first year had passed Darshee decided that she'd stay another, then another and another until it was ten. The elven woman spent many days out in the nearby woods gathering materials to make her baskets. He mother had taught her to make baskets from grasses and tree barks and other materials. Her baskets were mostly utilitarian but they had a very pleasing ascetic appeal as well. She sold her baskets to the locals and the tourists alike. It wasn't enough coin to retire on just yet but it was usually enough to meet her basic needs.

Darshee made friends with several of the locals in Bridgetown, but what kept her there for the last ten years was several orphan street kids. When she isn't helping care for the kids Darshee spends much of her time alone in the local forest. Darshee makes an effort to be social, but it is often just that, an effort. In the ten years Darshee has lived in Bridgetown, only a handful of people know of her sorcerers powers. Most of those are grown children she had helped along their way.

Your personal Pathfinder and RPGx experience: Extensive on both counts.

I have a concept for a Half-Orc Brawler (the Class, not the Fighter Archetype). How are Half-Orcs viewed in society?

Nice to see you back on the world Rick! I'm putting both you and Suburban in the table as interested.

Geographically dependent, however in Kingseat and the surrounding areas Half-Orcs have a much more favorable disposition than default DnD culture. In Kingseat specifically goblinoids, especially Hobgoblins, are the most common and consistent humanoid threat to normal folk. Orcs exist, but are less violent and marauding in this part of the world than they are, say, in the mountains. Half-Orcs are no more represented as a demographic in Kingseat than typical, but do not come with the 'orc' stigma which I suspect you're asking about; they suffer no more prejudice than any half-creature receives from the small number of racists, purists, and bigots who always crop up in society. The amazons and dwarfs of the Iron Curtain mountains have a far more critical view of orcs and half-orcs. In the mountains orcs are marauders and more in touch with their typically evil or at least violent heritage leading to acrimony between them and other civilized races. This particular party will not spend much time out there, if any at all.

I'm a bit confused. You say 1st level but most of the applications show 3 levels. Which will it be or what is the current level if we're to be replacement players? Sorry if I'm being obtuse.

You're being recruited for an entirely new game, Unlikely Heroes, which is in the same campaign setting and will be run parallel with the current Trinket Hunters game. The first post has all the Information you need. Previous applications from years hence need not concern you. I'm recycling the thread because I enjoy the lack of clutter, like the legacy, and it's all part of the same greater story and universe.

~~~ WORK IN PROGRESS ~~~
Name: Garok Brightfist
Race: Half-Orc
Gender: Male
Class: Brawler
Mechanical Role / Purpose: Melee combatant
Description: WIP
Backstory: WIP
Personal Pathfinder and RPGx experience: I played D&D back in high school/college in the mid to late '80s, then got away from the game until about 5 years ago, when my son started playing Pathfinder with his high school buddies. I've played off and on since then, mostly PbP, and very occasionally at an actual tabletop.
Suburb I have updated the table with Garok's info. Rick, I answered your PM. My original deadline is an even two weeks out now. Maybe 1st edition Pathfinder is losing its appeal, but the game won't run with two PCs. Spread the word.
I do wonder if part of the issue with the apparent lack of interest is the fact that you're using an existing thread, rather than creating a new one. I know when I'm looking for new games, I usually pull up the forum and look for posts that only have one or two pages of responses, as those tend to be the new ones. I almost didn't open this thread because I assumed that at six pages, it must be a game that already had plenty of applicants. It's only because I am specifically interested in Pathfinder (which does seem to be getting pretty scarce around here) that I clicked the link to see what was going on.
Hello, I would be interested in putting an application forward. I am still fairly new to Pathfinder so I haven't even tried to learn PF-2 yet, but would love to learn from level 1. I am currently involved in one Pathfinder game but I started at 3rd level so I didn't get to experience my PC growing up to that level. I am not sure what I will put forth for an application yet, so you can put me down as interested.
But I am much like Suberbanplankton when I am looking for new games to apply to. Newer ads that have few pages. As I assume ones with several pages have a lot of interest and or have already started their games.
Suburb, I thought about the challenges of reusing the thread. But I like the legacy. Plus some games go through dozens of pages before finishing their recruitment. I did ask one of the mods if they could change the thread name.
Silver this is an original Pathfinder game. Someday I'll get around to learning 2nd edition, but not yet. Considering the game systems I know and or have played numbers in the double digits now, I can be slow to change. Games routinely go for many pages before filling up their games, and many games reopen their threads for new recruitment either to fill up attrition or to launch new parties. Don't let page count deter you from something you're interested in. If it's on the front page and stays that way for a few days, the likelihood it's all full is low as most of the chit chat has likely moved to the game's OOC threads.
Here you are, one application. If you have any questions please let me know, I am happy to explain more if it is not clear. I sometimes go overboard on writing a backstory so I tried to keep it to a reasonable length.
Application
Name: Liliane “Lily” Greenwell
Race: Half-elf
Gender: female
Class: Slayer
Mechanical Role / Purpose: Sneaky information gatherer/investigator, sneak attack combatant
Description: Slight of build and petite in size Lily is not the image that comes to mind when someone says ‘Constable’ or ‘local law enforcement’. The half-elf woman just reaches five foot three in height and has long silver hair that falls to mid-back. She often dresses in greens and browns, leather armor and an old steel breast plate.
Backstory: The oldest memory that Liliane can recall is being led through the streets of Bridgetown by Trent the Gnome tinker to his wife and large family nearly twenty years ago. Bridgetown has always been her home as far as she knows, unable to recall her name or parents, or how she got there or any other place of residence prior to showing up at the end of the midsummer festival.
Trent the tinker tells her the story every year before the midsummer festival begins that he found her wandering aimlessly between houses. He thought it odd that an elf child, so young (about three years) was out unescorted by a parent. When Trent approached Lily for the first time he also noted that she wasn’t distressed or crying about being lost. He patted her silver hair and took her by the hand to return her to her parents. Back at the tent and caravan city on the other side of Bridgetown his heart and hopes sank seeing just how few travelers remained. The festival had ended the day before and it was now late evening. The Gnome asked everyone still camped if they had seen her before or knew whom she had come with. Alas everyone answered that they did know the child.
Sighing, heavily Trent took Lily home hoping that her parents would realize she was gone and return to Bridgetown to collect her. Lily’s parents did not return the next day, or the day after, or a week after. Her parents never came.
Trent’s wife, Regina was not pleased that her husband had brought home an orphan child, especially a half-elf. She huffed and fussed at first as the girl stayed longer and longer with no indication that her parents were coming back. It was another mouth to feed, and clothe and shelter. Trent and Regina’s five children on the other hand found Lily to be a welcome addition and began to treat her like a lost sibling immediately.
After a week, Trent filed a found child report with the local constable, Geraint, a former human bounty hunter that had gotten tired of traveling. Nothing ever came of the report after it had been sent to Kingseat. Lily officially had been abandoned at Bridgetown. Trent and Regina couldn’t bring themselves to send her away having grown fond her quiet and sweet personality. So they kept her and raised her along side their own children.
Every year as the Midsummer festival arrived Trent or Geraint would take Liliane to the temporary city of revelers to try to find her parents or some relative. Every year had the same results; no one knew who she was or where she had come from. As Liliane became older and grew up it became more difficult as she no longer resembled the small child that had initially been lost. Geraint became irritated at the annual ‘parade’ a few years back and instead made Lily temporary deputy of the law for the entire running of the festival. She was already going to be there, why not take advantage of an extra pair of eyes, ears and hands to keep things under control.
The number of revelers was getting out of hand for Geraint and his few full time underlings to handle alone. The half-elf girl knew her way around the festival better than anyone having walked the rows of stalls, tents and wagons for nearly two decades. Lily found that she enjoyed keeping an eye on the activity and looking out for pick pockets, shady dealers and cheats. Pleased with her work ethic and talent, Geraint took Liliane under his wing to begin teaching the half-elf how to be a Slayer
Your personal Pathfinder and RPGx experience: I’ve been playing Pathfinder about a year or so. I’ve been playing mostly Dnd 3.5 and 5 for the past two years, as long as I have been on RPGX. I have been storytelling and RPing by post for over 15 years on various websites and forums. I really would like to learn Pathfinder better and starting from level 1 is the best way to do that. I am also looking for a long term game as well would love to advance a character into the double digit levels.
