Looking for games, with concepts and current characters included
Active Characters: [PF]Toa Human Monk (Flowing AT) Dormant Characters: [PF]Strom the Curious Human Druid (Storm AT) [PF]Wanderer Drow Monk (Flowing AT, Sacred Mountain AT) [PF]Faereil Fetchling Ninja [PF]Soran Haelthor Aasimar Oracle (Ancestor) [PF]Synne Forgeborn Aasimar Oracle (Metal, Possessed AT) [PF]Dwrn o Elfennau Tengu Monk (Many Styles, Four Winds, Qinggong) [PF]Siella Whisperwind Elf (Moon Elf) Oracle (Dark Tapestry) [PF]Erdrath Elderson Aasimar Magister Concepts: System is given but adaption may be possible if the system allows. [PF]Toronar Half-There Human Inquisitor (Heresy) [PF]Lyssandra Tomen Sylph Oracle (Wind) [PF]Lirrelin Yril Dark Emissary [custom race] Oracle (Spellscar) [PF]Professor Chaos Tiefling Oracle (Spellscar) [PF]Tereriel Lothos Elven Magus (Bladebound Kensai) [PF]Athesto Primus Svirfdraconi [custom race] Oracle (Heavens) [PF]Baracchus Llewellyn Elven Investigator (Empiricist) Current Applications: I prefer groups that aren't full of compulsory optimisers and people who try to make your character for you. I'm not always as good at roleplay as I should be, but am willing to learn from mistakes (e.g rollplay where should be roleplay :P) I tend to use the SRD rather than the PRD to make my characters so prefer to play in games that allow "all Paizo" if we're talking about Pathfinder-I find this makes for characters that actually do what you picture them doing, rather than having to use broad classes in specific ways. I tend to favour building characters that have something slightly quirky, either in personality or in mechanics, sometimes the base class has this quirk, sometimes its an archetype, rather than straight DPS characters (not that that's ever a bad thing to have ![]() I would also possibly like to branch out into other RPG rulesets. Am slightly prejudiced against 3/3.5 due to what I've heard about class-dipping and other things that have resulted. Character concepts that have been created but haven't been used yet are included below, any specific and constructive feedback would be appreciated! Of course, if you like them, game invites are always more appreciated ![]() Last edited by SolarDragon; Aug 1st, 2016 at 08:55 AM. |

Dormant
Synne Forgeborn Race: Aasimar (Angelkin variant, with Daylight) Class: Oracle (Metal, Tongues, Possesed Archetype) No PrC currently expected, Celestial Knight is an outside possibility (If it's even allowed) Physical description summarised: Synne is a tall humanoid who could almost be mistaken for human at a distance, with copper-toned skin that has a metallic sheen when in bright light. Her eyes appear blue from a distance, but up close they resemble dancing flames of holy blue and white. Her hair is blond, long and appears to shimmer, but never quite seems content to be combed down. Party input concept:Heavy armor fighter/caster who uses spells and racial feats to stay effective. Born to a mortal blacksmith who had been favored by divine powers, Synne was always marked differently. Even from a young age, her skin shone with a lustre that was impossible, and those who looked into her eyes were amazed, for divine fires leapt in them. Normally such strange features would have brought harm to the young child, but her tact, wit, and beauty always defused even the worst of situations, and growing up to a mother working a traditionally male job, she never considered her gender to be an impediment, and her community was of like mind, recognising the skill of her mother, and so she had some small respect by reflection. Her divine heritage marked itself in her powers, but one fateful day she was involved in a terrible accident in the forge that should have killed her. While still physically unmarred, the celestial forces that saved her that day caused her to lose control of his language when under stress, much to the dismay of his friends. However, she manifested an unusual ability to carry heavy loads and wear heavy armor without any training, another sign of her touched nature. Synne never permitted evil in her sight, either from her own nature or the celestials that had touched her. Whether it was the mistreatment of others, animals, or theft, she always persuaded his friends to undo it, and when they were not her friends, she used his skill with weapons to "convince" them to cease, especially favoring the greatsword she began to be recognised by. Often nearly in trouble with the law (or worse, his mother) for such acts, she began seeking outwards, for adventure.

Character Concept 2
NameToronar Half-There (nickname obv) RaceHuman ClassInquisitor, Heresy inquisition, no AT ConceptHoly warrior through subterfuge. Toronar is *not* a particularly uptight character, apart from when it comes to doing evil deeds-and as an inquistior, many of his brethren preach of the greater good while doing so, so he is both aware of evil in "good" but has been preached to about the good of ends, and is in some conflict with himself as to which way it goes, so for the most part, I expect him to warm to characters, rather than clash. He has been taught to ask himself what the end goal is, and to abandon many morals in pursuit of the end task, but he wonders if evil done in act can ever truly lead to good, and as such, will often have to trust himself to do what is right in situations such as interrogations, and will dislike things like torture, often refusing to take part, but at the same time, may take part himself if he feels the need is right, and may even attempt to physically prevent such things where he deems it unneccesary.

Quote:
My best advice though is to quote posts that you like, copy the code, post it in notepad, and then not post a reply. Look at the code they used, edit to your liking, experiment a little, and then use the preview post option to test your code. You can do that right here in this thread, with ever having to submit a reply. That's the best way to learn.

Character Concept 3
Needs a bit of explanation. This concept was originally created for a game set launching from Vercites and set often in space or other planets. Name: Lyssandra Tomen Race: Sylph (Like the Wind, Breeze-Kissed Class: Oracle (Wind) Curse: Tongues (was originally deaf but was changed by GM suggestion) Flavour comments:I'm assuming sylphs in this world exist, and most of Lyssandra's magic is going to be magic except air flavored when possible (e.g. something like bless is a wisp of wind curling round your weapon that directs it better, CLW will feel like soothing breezes) Alignment: Neutral Good, will see how it molds to the character though. Concept: Background: Writing Sample:

Character concept 4
Another one that needs a bit of explaining. Lirrelin was originally made for an adventure where the plotline was that a bunch of monsters had been robbed by adventurers (presumadly NPC PC's) and were on the warpath to get them back. Name: Lirrelin Yril (silent y) Class: Spellscar Oracle (Haunted Curse) Gender: Male Background: Personality: Happy go lucky, occasionally to the point of ditzy, but really wants his rod back. He misses it badly. Alignment: Either neutral or good, probably chaotic or possibly neutral. Race: Dark Emissary Bestiary: Loot: A Rod of Wonder that Lirrelin is immensely fond of, he enjoys using it (far too much) and has always been hugely protective of it, and may get quite sad about it. He also lost a suit of Mistmail, as well as a Mithral Heavy Shield. As well, he lost much of his mundane equipment. Role: Lirrelin was a wandering diplomat for hire for the monstrous races, and collected oddities during his travels. Why He Survived: He was talking to one of the neighbouring dungeons at the time that the dungeon his stuff was in was robbed Has he left the lair before: Yes, he even has talked to humans before as part of his job, and knows that some can even be tolerant of "nice" monsters.

Dormant
Written for Kingmaker Name: Erdrath Elderson. Race: Aasimar Class: Magister [possibly sorc primary with meta bond] Alignment: Neutral Good tending towards Lawful. Being originally from a small village, all the laws that Erdrath have known have fitted into his perception of "good", of helping people and not restricting them for little or no reason. Coming into the wider world, he has started to question his adherence to the idea of laws, having seen one or two examples of "evil" laws, but still has the instinct to follow law. Background: RP:

Character concept 6
Written for an Earth-setting that had a paranormal investigative agency. Name: *Unknown* Known as: Professor Chaos, or alternately, mostly by paranormal casters, "What the *expletive* just happened" Race: Tiefling Rakshasa-spawn Heritage (+2 Cha, +2 Dex, -2 Wis)(Disguise and Sense Motive +2) See in Darkness alternate trait (replaces SLA) Prehensile Tail alternate trait (replaces sorcery) Scaled Skin alternate trait (replaces normal resistances) Racial Trait: Arms Master Other Trait: Quick Learner (if our wonderful DM allows the two things to stack?) Class: Spellscar Oracle, Spellscarred curse (homebrewed in collab with DM) Possible statset:10,12,10,14,8,18 DM allowed a feat called Grasping Tail to also retrieve weapons as a move action. Overall notes: This character is not inspired by Hellboy, or using him as guidance at all. The teeniest bit. Honestly. Whatever gives you that idea in the slightest.
