GAME PLOT Free Seattle is the first published adventure for SR6. If anyone has read or played it already just let me know as I tend to twist purchased adventures to fit my own agenda anyway so that may not be a problem. Since the election of 2078 there have been calls for the new Governor, Technocrat Corrine Potter, to declare independence and she has now decided to hold a summit, inviting various influential players from the corps and governments, to review the evidence for and against. This being the shadows there are various parties who want advance warning on the outcome, or even to influence it. We have completed the first few runs in Free Seattle, now only the dramatic conclusion awaits! I am looking for between 3-5 PCs (and can provide a matrix specialist NPC if required). Recruitment will end 20th August

CHARACTER CREATION Standard priority generation, although I am happy to accept Sum-10 *1 provided only one Priority A choice is taken. Brand new characters can have an additional 10-20 karma added to them to round them out (rather than min-max them) plus 2000 nuyen per additional karma point taken (your choice how much you spend, I’ll tailor the game accordingly). I am hoping that my existing players will bring along some of their already established characters who have that sort of range of karma awards already. Just in case it's useful to anyone I've created, with a lot of help, an Excel character generator for SR6 which can be downloaded from here (the link gets updated as I add content to the generator): <<CG6.xx>> Our Obsidian Portal campaign page is here: Stormy Waters. RP & Posting Expectations We all have busy lives so I don't expect a fixed number of IC posts but please consider whether you can maintain the moderately gentle pace of 1-2 IC posts per week? Any less and the game is likely to falter. SR can be pretty bleak, and I tend to run it that way (with enough rays of hope to prevent it becoming too depressing). That should still be possible within the constraints of the PG13 rating for this platform, let's keep descriptive violence without too much gore. Themes will be aimed at an adult audience and I sometimes present players with uncomfortable moral dilemmas but that is hopefully what you are signing up for. We’ll use SR swear words, eg drek and frag(ger) rather than their Anglo Saxon equivalents.

In all seriousness, I'd love to play 0day the hacker some more, especially as I'm starting to get used to the Matrix rules. Somewhat optimized towards Matrix as host rules are still a thing and there is a huge gap between PR2 mooks and even a rating 5 host in terms of dice pools, unfortunately. It seems as if SR6 still has the role breakdown that hackers who want to actually succeed at hacking anything beyond vending machines have to specialize a fair bit.

As your not going to be starting until February, I think I'll throw my hat into the ring for this one. Work should settle sometime during then. I had read the SR6 book once back when I got it, but I'll still have to do some rereading when I get the chance.

I recently got thinking about my first experience with true cyberpunk themes, the Johnny Pneumatic movie, and I am thinking of running an information courier. Either that or a corporate rich kid who saw too many remakes of Batman The idea's still fluid.

Oh. And I feel I should point out that the moderators don't like it when you roll in the advertisement thread. They don't enforce it much, but it's a rule somewhere. I remember one advertisement thread had a random generator for backgrounds that had each applicant rolling over 20 times each, and no one said anything until he put up his second game like that.

I don't have the SR6 book yet - but if that's not a hard barrier I'm interested. Shadows? Running? I'm there.

I'm partial to shamans but not married to them. Might branch out and try something with less of a learning curve for the new system.

I'm definitely interested. Not sure with what concept though I probably won't post one until after the errata drops later this month.

One of the reasons for not rushing in is to see what they do with the errata, particularly in respect to adepts (my personal favourites for all editions of SR). Would also like to wrap my head around where Cutting Black fits in to the canon timeline - the review said it crosses over Free Seattle but I can't believe some of those events wouldn't affect Seattle's independence bid if they were common knowledge...

Oh, has CGL committed to delivering errata before February? Nice! Looking forward to the game. Subscribing to this thread for updates.

I may tweak 0day a little bit to make him a little more well rounded, but it seems like I've got time to consider.

Let us know if there's a particular format you'd like us to post characters; full sheet, some sort of summary, others?.

I'm probably just going to be lurking on this game, since I'm running Free Seattle in my home game, but posting so that I can hopefully find my way back here again later. (btw, in case you couldn't guess, this is Beta on, errr, other forums that apparently are-not-to-be-named).

On OP, would it help if we get rid of character pictures for some older characters?
