Well, we all show our art every day here on RPGX through the medium of the written word, but I'm curious to see what y'all can do with a pen and pencil (or a pallet or a graphics tablet, or any other medium!)

My idea was that people could maybe link their pages so we can support eachother, but have been advised that it might be violating the site rules... SO Instead lets just get an art apreciation thread going. If you find an artist you love, please PM them for their page details and show them some love

Let me kick things off! I'm mostly a textile artist sewing costume, but I'd like to present my painting here. I general work in acrylics and housepaint, and most of what I paint I give away as gifts or trade.

I used to do all right with fine point markers on white paper. I'll see if I can dig up any of my old nonsense.

I gotta agree with Kingmonkey I really like that peacock one! I haven't been doing too much myself. My most recent was a rush job for my mother after her cat died. I wish I had more time with it.

How about art that relates back to this site? Here's artwork I did for my Player-Character, Scarlet. I want to do more art of her, but I suck at coming up with ideas for drawings of her. I've been trying to get back into doing digital art more lately, and I feel like she'd be a great subject to do art of, and I just want to draw her because, at the risk of quoting a meme, I just think she's neat.

 

I'll probably come back to this piece in a while after I've practiced some more. I'm happy with it now, but I also recognize it could be better (gotta fix some proportions, background's kinda boring). It's better than the art I made for my current starter one-on-one RP, though; not gonna show that off here. Her arms and legs are reeeeeeally badly proportioned in that; it is the first time I drew a character's head angled up and it didn't come out looking like absolute garbage, though.

That's wicked, those abs!! I always find it so hard to get muscles to look realistic but you nailed it! Also I second finding it hard to change up angles! Pretty much everything I draw is side profile, I should really try swapping it up!!

My friends were lucky enough to be bought this amazing, intact cow skull by their dogs! Couldn't resist the opertunity to paint it for them! I added a Lunar Moth and space theme

Not sure if it counts as "art" but I make handmade knives.

wow! they look like works of art to me!! how long does it take yoy to make one?

Depends on the knife, a simple 8" overall length hunting knife I can finish in about 8 hours (actual hands on time real time us about 3 days with waiting for the heat treatment process and glue up time etc etc.) A folding knife takes about double that
