Adventures of Carlsport
All alignments are welcome, but they must be played reasonably. See the story of Charles the Good (spoiler, he wasn't actually good) for an example of being pragmatically evil. Last edited by silveroak; Dec 26th, 2020 at 08:39 PM. |

This is my first campaign on this board- I have been playing as a GM/DM since the mid 80's. The information thread has a link to a wiki which described most of this game setting, but if you have any questions please ask them
When you ask to join please give a character name, class, race, background, two personality traits, ideal, bond, and flaw. Books allowed: These are numerous- the DMG, Players handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's cauldron of everything, from Volo's guide to Monsters Orcs, Bugbears, Kobolds, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Reptilemen, and Yuan Ti purebloods are all playable races. There are completely house rules about social combat on the web site which are far to extensive to go into here, and a number of resources from the DM's Guild which have links published on the wiki as well. I would prefer a posting rate of once a day or more, but I understand that life happens. If possible and you know you will be away from the game and are mid adventure ask someone else to take over our character for the duration. The game will proceed in a sort of "parallel time" framework, where the calendar for the start date of new adventures will run at 3 days per real world day. Downtime should be used when an adventure is finished to catch up to calendar time if they do not match up. Last edited by silveroak; Dec 19th, 2020 at 07:09 PM. |

Where is the information thread? Or is it only available should we be accepted?

posting to flag changes in the ad- I think "simulation" is a better description of the flavor of the campaign.

Suggestion - add more info to your initial post in this thread.
What's the starting level for characters? What do you have in mind for adventure starting points? Plot hooks, so to speak. Are there any classes not allowed? Also- note that games with posting rates of once a day or faster on site are rare. Not unheard of or unfeasible, but rare. And if you're considering open recruitment, you'll want to be up front with how many total players you can handle on a typical day. |

@silveroak - I just put an app up at the link you provided.
Do you have an idea of how many players you are going to take? - D

Probably more than sign up. I realize that isn't truly possible, but unless I start seeing high double digits or triple digits I'm going to be on continuously recruiting. If I do see those kind of numbers then hopefully it will be at a time when I would have found people willing to be co-GM's to handle subsets of adventures(whom I also have confidence in to not spoil the setting with them)

Your character has been accepted- rolls for attributes should be made *after* acceptance and in the private character development thread that gets added when you are accepted.

First your link sent me to a page which had a map and an indication there was no text to the page. Second, if I do consider a new race to be worth adding to the list of approved races that race would need to be discovered by adventurer's in some context first, which means either making a different character or waiting until the race you want to play is discovered.

You could always take a human and see if the sewer guard (were rats) would infect you...
