Tools, Expanded
In addition to the cooking kits above, the following tool kits will also be heavily featured and useful in this game:

🗺️ Cartographer's Tools & Navigator's Tools
Epicurean is about two things: food and adventure! And while you can certainly have plenty of adventures without even needing a map, it does help in getting you to places where you want to go! Both of these kits will be regularly used to make maps of areas, as well as deciphering pre-existing maps or discovering secrets embedded in them! When making Travel checks, whoever is in charge of the map will need to make checks with one of these tools to keep the party from getting lost.

🔨 Carpenter's Tools & Wood Carver's Tools
Travelling means you either carry everything you own on your back (which isn't very fun, especially if you're a chef that needs lots of tools and ingredients!), or investing in some helpful transportation. If that's the case, Carpenter's tools will be invaluable in terms of repairing wooden transports, as well as being multi-useful for one's crafting needs! The steaming basket broke? No problem! Call the Carpenter!

🍷 Glassblower's Tools & Potter's Tools
In cooking, style is half the battle, especially when there is a need to impress! Not only can a glassblower's kit be useful in repairing or creating new glassware for your cooking endeavors, they can also be used to make especially fine, personalized glassware while potter's kits can be used to mold interesting new pieces with clay and substrates! Who doesn't want a personalized mug with fine flower etchings on it?

🌿 Herbalism Kit & Hunter's Tools
Why buy herbs, spices, and fruits or vegetables when you can simply use and herbalism kit in the right places to find what you need for free? For that matter, why not just hunt your own game while you're at it? Both of these kits can be used by those trained in using them to pilfer nature's bounty, though what you get will largely be defined by where you are. On the beach? Find some coconuts or hunt for crab! In a forest? Check for mushrooms or scare up a deer! Was Farmer Bill snippy with you at the tavern? Steal his crops...and maybe slip away with a chicken!

👜 Jeweler's Kit, Leatherworker's Kit
You'll find that defeating monsters and other beasties comes with its own rewards! A lot of parts and pieces of such creatures are sought after for all manner of crafts and creations, and while you could have someone else harvest these ingredients, why bother when you can use one or more of these kits harvest them yourself and not have to pay the fee?

☠️ Poisoner's Kit
In a world of magic and monsters, adventurers often need every advantage they can get, especially when dealing with something particularly nasty! Poisons and tonics meant to disable, sicken, and so on are extremely useful in a world with so many challenges, so it might be a good idea to keep a good stock of them. And with this kit, you can even harvest poisons and venoms from things you take down! On the other hand, a poisoner's kit can also be used to help identify poisons and venoms, as well as test the acidity of things.

🛡️ Smith's Tools
Smiths are a widely sought bunch, as they can make and repair almost anything metal, and since most cooking implements are made of metal, when something is broken, you might need someone who knows their way around alloys now and again! Plus, who better to make party's weapons and armor in the everlasting fight to procure amazing ingredients?

🔑 Thieves's Tools
That door is between you and the key to making the world's best steamed buns. You could break it down, by that might alert the kobold tribe guards in the next room. Times like these, you really need thieves tools to get by! Or, you know, in case you need to break into your neighbor's house to steal a cup of cream.

Of course, if you come up with some other amazing, amusing, or just plain inspirational use for any of the tools--even those beyond this list!--feel free! I do love it when players think outside of the box and use things in new and unintended ways! Here are a few resources you can look into if you're fishing for new ideas!
