Search for the Dragon's King
Starting Level:5 Races Accepted: Any race or Monster you wish to convert, except for Dragons Classes Accepted: As long as they don't involve Dragon's you're good Books Accepted: Any Feats Accepted:Any Stats: All stats start at 8. From there you can add up to 40 pts. each added point -1. Starting gold: 12000 Please post a bio here. Don't care how long or short as long as it's good. I definatley need at least one woman for the game to work. I would prefer it if the woman character was played by an actuall woman, but if I can't get a real woman, I'll settle for a guy playing a woman. It would also be nice if you could all post what Time Zone you're in. This will not determine your eleibility, it is only for reference. This game features alot of fighting random monsters and a few cities, but on average you'll be outside more often than in a city or dungeon. Question? Feel free to ask. Want me to add or change something? Ask, I might actually do it. Oh, and the game hasn't been accepted yet.

I'm interested. Would a female gray elven evoker be cool? I'm a guy, but I'm good at playing female roles.

Well, I'd be interested in playing, I have several different characters in many different situations running in many games online, and I also DM a campaign, "The Orcish Threat", if you're interested in checking out any of my handiwork. I'll wait for a few other people to post to play before I make a character. I think I'll fill a role that needs filling after a bit more work. There's also the issue of the fact that, at present, I do not have time to make a character.

K'ss'th
Male Lizardfolk Druid K'ss'th is the newest shaman for his tribe, the Has'th'kraw, lately however, he has been recieving horrible visions of the great magic lizards languishing under the control of some awful entity. The dreams compel him to leave his swamp home and venture into the world to free the great scaly ones before they can be destroyed, or before they destroy the world. I live in Japan, +0900 GMT. |

You say any none-dragon? I was making a level four thri-kreen for another game, but had the race rejected - so I have a L4 character sitting around almost finished. Thri-Kreen are from savage species (There's a psionic version too, but I'm not using that). Can I play one?
Also, you say that dragons are entirely under her control, but what about the rest of the world? Is she actually queen/empress/whatever of all the material plane, or in some places is she more of a looming threat/distant rumor? Question the third: Do stats have a cap at 18, or can I spend more on something? (I want 20/18/16/14/10/10) edit: I'm in great britian, on GMT (EST+5)

Nyx Kisha was born into a village of intensely magical gray elves. She grew up learning that knowledge was power, and that power was magic. She did what was expected of her: she studied her spell books vigorously, she practiced she could, and she eventually gained the honor of being called an Evoker.
After spending 130 years of her life in the same village, she began to feel tied down. She wanted to learn as much as she could, and she knew that more knowledge could only be gained by leaving this life behind. That is what she did; she has been traveling the world ever since. I'm on Eastern Standard Time, as I live on the eastern coast of the USA. |

The Evil godess Veca holds the World in her Dark grasp. 1st sentence. I thought that was clear, apparently not...Yes, she rules the World....but as you can probably guess, when ruling an entire World, you can't really control everything the game will start far away from the godesses seat of Power, thus, far away froom her active rule. Life is still made miserable by her however. She demands weekly sacrifices of any race from everyone in her vast Kingdom. And she has Vassels and people to make sure her will is enforced. No, there is no cap, hell, you could put all 40 points in strength for all I care.
I don't have the Savage Species, but make a bio, and PM me the info. about the Thri-Kreen, chances are I'll accept the Thri-Kreen, but I must have a Bio of your character. This goes for everyone, I'm not accepting people unless I get a Bio first.

Ok I'm interested, I'll pull up an old character that I think might fit.
Erland Spartan human fighter/barbarian. Erland grew up a big brawling boy, boisterous and friendly but also with a terrible temper. He joined the militia to make a living. One evening while on leave he got into a fight with a young man over a woman and nearly killed him. It turned out the man was a young nobleman visiting the area with the rest of the family. Erland expected to be executed when he learned the identity of the young man and spent the entire night in his jail cell worrying and thinking up more and more outrageous plans of escape. The head of the noble family had a taste for watching and betting on bloodsport and decided instead to have Erland made a slave, to fight for his life in the gladiatorial pits. Erland spent a number of years fighting for his survival killing monsters, beasts and other gladiators whether they were free or slaves like himself. And he hated himself for it. Eventually he managed to escape with the help of one of the workers at the arena, concealing himself in the "Deadwagon" A wagon that transported slain slaves and monsters to a mass grave on the edge of town. Erland left the city, moving as far and fast as he could, leaving his old world behind and determined to make a new life for himself. Since then he uses his fighting skills to help others, knowing from his years as a slave just how much a little kindness can help someone. He has matured significantly since his early years and knows when to keep his rage bottled up and when to let it fly free. He's still basically a good person but the hardships of his life has left him slightly unstable, prone to occasional blue funks and cynicisim that overwhelm his normally cheery disposition. Still he soldiers on trying to make the world a better place, oftentimes in-spite of itself it seems. |

Character Submission
Ok here goes. Please review and let me know if the character is acceptable.
Race: Human, Male (or female if you need it) Class: Bard Bio: The bard is a neutal good character, who chafes at the repressions of the Goddess and her minons. Being wise enought to keep his opinions to himself, he collects stories and lore seeking ways to throw off the yolk of vile darkness. When he can, he aids the oppressed and those who have particularly suffered but he does so as quietly as possibe so as to avoid being the next sacrifce on the altar. This double life leaves him unbalanced - mentally - and he is often referred to as the "Mad Singer". As a result, he has few close associates, and earns his living in the less reputable establishments. FYI: I live in the Eastern US, but travel across the globe in the course of my job. I will be able to keep up the pace of posting, but I may lag behind from time to time. |

Bio: Jihad marches onwards. For days I have marched, stopping never for more than a minute, and then only to drink from my waterskin, or an oasis if I am fortunate enough to find one. I do not sleep, and now I no longer even think of where I am going.
We had been fools to think they could escape Veca. Fools to even hope we could escape her. Even the vast expanse of the desert had not been able to hide us from her. And now only a few remain, those who had been too far ahead, or lagged too far behind, to be caught in Veca’s swift, fiery vengeance against we few who had dared to defy her. My clan had dwelt near the edge of the desert, trading the rare spices and desert commodities that only the Thri-Kreen knew the location of, or hiring ourselves out as mercenaries to the highest bidder. At first, as Vecas influence had spread across the land like a plague, the Thri-Kreen had remained separate, severing all trade routes with the humans in the plains, and the dwarves in the eastern mountains, and living as we had done in the days before the founding of the trading caravans – existing off the sparse desert vegetation, and what animals we could hunt. But to the vision of a Goddess the desert is no barrier, and before a week had passed her power was present, an almost tangible thickness creeping through the air. How she communicated to the tribal elders, none other than the elders knew, but within days they were commanding the tribe to bow before Veca – taking sacrifices from young broods to appease her terrible appetite. Soon a faction formed. At first only outraged parents, or rebellious warriors, but soon almost half the tribe secretly attended these meetings. For centuries we had been Kings of this desert, how dare a God from other lands enter our domain? Surely in this land she is weak. Surely we can escape. Surely we were fools. So now I march, separated even from the scattered remains of my clan. My spears are sharp, and my instincts sharper. I will survive. I continue onwards, moving past the towns on the edge of the desert, fearing recognition and sacrifice. Eventually the winter grows too cold and my supplies too low, and I am forced to enter the next village I come to. edit: Quote:

Male Beguiler(shining south) Telepath:
Kemanorel was found by his former master, called by a compulsion he could not explain, which tied him to that wizard. Originally, they had been the best of friends, with nearly identical thoughts and feelings, and Kemanorel started developing abilities similar to his owner and friend though different. Yet as time passed, they diverged; it started after they defeated a dragon, challenging Veca. She seemed to take it in stride, sending an obvious spy to pretend to befriend the master and seeming to turn to the side of good-she started revealing some secrets of her magical ability, supposedly in repentance. In fact, it was the opposite, as their "redeemed" prisoner started to teach Valyn's master dark arts; Kemanorel saw the influence and tried to stop it. In the end, however, he failed, and his master broke their connection, believing the Beguiler to be a traitor, and teleported him into the wilderness, where Kemanorel was savaged by some beasts. Alone, friendless, and full of anger, the beguiler vowed to take revenge, not upon his master, but on the one who had decieved them both. Last edited by Sithobi1; Aug 14th, 2005 at 05:13 PM. |
